Peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi menuntut penerapan strategi inovatif seperti benchmarking dan best practices. Artikel ini membahas konsep benchmarking, best practices, serta strategi implementasinya dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan Islam. Benchmarking sebagai metode evaluasi dan perbaikan berkelanjutan terdiri dari benchmarking internal, kompetitif, fungsional, dan generik. Best practices meliputi integrasi kurikulum berbasis Islam, penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, pendidikan karakter, sistem asrama terpadu, dan kolaborasi internasional. Implementasi benchmarking dan best practices dilakukan melalui identifikasi kebutuhan, pemilihan lembaga rujukan, pengumpulan data, adaptasi praktik, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan. Penerapan strategi ini mampu mendorong lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk berkembang, adaptif, dan kompetitif secara global.
Improving the quality of Islamic education in the era of globalization requires the application of innovative strategies such as benchmarking and best practices. This article discusses the concepts of benchmarking and best practices, as well as their implementation strategies in enhancing the quality of Islamic education. Benchmarking, as a method of continuous evaluation and improvement, consists of internal, competitive, functional, and generic benchmarking. Best practices include the integration of an Islamic-based curriculum, the use of technology in learning, character education, integrated boarding systems, and international collaboration. The implementation of benchmarking and best practices is carried out through needs identification, selection of reference institutions, data collection, practice adaptation, and continuous evaluation. The application of these strategies enables Islamic educational institutions to grow, adapt, and compete globally.
