PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SCRAMBLE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP SWASTA KATOLIK ASSISI MEDAN TAHUN AJARAN 2023/2024

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Scramble terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Eksposisi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Swasta Katolik Assisi Medan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 119 orang. Sampel terdiri dari 46 orang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol sebanyak 23 orang dan kelas eksperimen sebanyak 23 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen two group post-test only control design dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes essai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Katolik Assisi Medan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional masih belum memenuhi KKM yang ditentukan sekolah yakni 75, hasil yang didapat siswa dengan model konvensional yaitu dengan rata-rata 62 tergolong kategori kurang. 2) Kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Katolik Assisi Medan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran scramble mendapat hasil yang meningkat dengan rata-rata 87 tergolong kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji t diperoleh nilai taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan n=23, diperoleh t_tabel = 2,074. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa t_hitung > t_tabel yaitu, 5,33 > 2,074, sehingga hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dam hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran scramble terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Katolik Assisi Medan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024.

This research aims to determine the influence of the Scramble Learning Model on the Ability to Write Expository Texts of Class VIII Students of Assisi Catholic Private Middle School, Medan, Academic Year 2023/2024. The population in this study were all class VIII students, totaling 119 people. The sample consisted of 46 people who were divided into two classes, namely the control class with 23 people and the experimental class with 23 people. This research uses a twogroup post-test only control design experimental method using a quantitative approach. The instrument used in this research was an essay test. The results of the research show 1) the ability to write expository texts for class VIII students of Assisi Medan Catholic Private Middle School for the 2023/2024 academic year using the conventional learning model still does not meet the KKM determined by the school, namely 75, the results obtained by students using the conventional model are an average of 62 categorized as less. 2) The ability to write expository texts for class VIII students at Assisi Medan Catholic Private Middle School for the 2023/2024 academic year using the scramble learning model has improved results with an average of 87 in the very good category. Thus, it can be said that the experimental class score is higher than the control class score. Based on the t test, the significant level value α = 0.05 and n = 23, obtained t table = 2.074. Thus it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, namely, 5.33 > 2.074, so that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant influence of using the scramble learning model on the ability to write expository texts for class VIII students at Assisi Catholic Private Middle School, Medan, Academic Year 2023/2024.
