Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi pengelolaan kelas yang diterapkan guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) dalam meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa di SMP IT AMSAR Karawang serta mengidentifikasi kendala dan solusi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan guru SKI sebagai informan utama. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (Waruwu, 2023). Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengelolaan kelas dilakukan melalui metode storytelling, tanya jawab, pengulangan materi, serta pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi seperti smart board dan video pembelajaran. Strategi tersebut mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan, minat, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi SKI serta menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter Islami. Kendala utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya minat baca siswa, yang diatasi melalui pengulangan materi, pemberian pertanyaan pemantik, dan pembiasaan siswa untuk aktif menceritakan kembali materi yang telah dipelajari secara mandiri.

This research aims to describe the classroom management strategies implemented by Islamic Cultural History (SKI) teachers in increasing students' interest and understanding at SMP IT AMSAR Karawang as well as identifying obstacles and solutions in the learning process. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with SKI teachers as the main informants. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions (Waruwu, 2023). The validity of the data was tested using triangulation techniques. The research results show that classroom management strategies are carried out through storytelling, question and answer methods, repetition of material, as well as the use of technology-based learning media such as smart boards and learning videos. This strategy is able to increase students' involvement, interest and understanding of SKI material and instill Islamic character values. The main obstacle faced is students' low interest in reading, which is overcome through repetition of material, providing trigger questions, and getting students into the habit of actively retelling material they have studied independently.
