Indah Lestari 2024. “Effectiveness of Practice Rehearsal Pairs Model Assisted by MONCABAR Media (Monopoly Reading with Pictures) on Receptive and Expressive Language Skills in Children Aged 5-6 Years at Pembina State Kindergarten, Warungasem District, Batang Regency”. Thesis. Supervisor I Dr. Ida Dwijayanti, M.Pd. and Supervisor II Prof. Dr. Achmad Buchori, M.Pd. The background of the problem in this study are: (1) Children's language development at Pembina State Kindergarten, Warungasem District is low. (2) The methods and media used in learning are boring and monotonous. (3) Semester I assessment report data on language skills are not optimal. This study uses quantitative research that aims to test the hypothesis of the data that has been collected in accordance with previous theories and concepts. The steps used by researchers to find the effectiveness of learning using MONCABAR through the Practice Rehearsal Pairs model to improve expressive and receptive language skills are by using an experimental design in this study is Quasi Experimental Design. The quasi-experimental design used is None Equivalent Control Group Design. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs model assisted by Moncabar media on receptive language skills in children aged 5-6 years at Pembina State Kindergarten, Warungasem District: (1) The results of the t count 17.165> t table 1.69 (df 34) and the level of significance of the t count 0.000 <0.05 with a positive direction prove that the receptive language ability scores of the experimental group are significantly different before and after learning. (2) The results of the N_Gain test for the analysis of the effectiveness of increasing receptive language ability obtained an average increase in gain of 0.59, meaning that the increase in receptive language ability in the experimental group is in the moderate category, namely a gain value of 0.3 <g ≤ 0.7; (3) The results of the Cohen d test are 5.723363 and the effect size is 0.944021, which is considered a relatively large effect size. (0.8 + is a large effect). Based on these calculations, it can be concluded that learning activities using the Practice Rehearsal Pairs model assisted by Moncabar media on expressive language skills in children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Negeri Pembina, Warungasem District have a relatively large effectiveness in improving receptive language skills. Researcher's suggestion: Kindergarten teachers can use the Practice Rehearsal Pairs Model Assisted by MONCABAR Media to improve receptive and expressive language skills. Teachers are more creative and innovative in creating learning media so that children do not get bored easily. The Practice Rehearsal Pairs Model Assisted by MONCABAR Media has been proven to increase receptive and expressive language learning activities and outcomes
