PENGARUH PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (RME) TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertitik tolak dari permasalahan yang ditemui di SDN 3 Kertasura yaitu terdapat siswa kelas III yang mengalami motivasi belajar matematika rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan RME terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas III SDN 3 Kertasura Kecamatan Kapetakan Kabupaten Cirebon.  Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dari data penelitian diperoleh dari uji t= 3,530 dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001 yang artinya nilai Sig. < 0,05, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan pendekatan RME terhadap motivasi siswa kelas III SDN 3 Kertasura. Dengan demikian, terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas III SDN 3 Kertasura pada kelas eksperimen.

This research is based on the problem encountered at SDN 3 Kertasura, namely that there are grade III students who experience low motivation to learn mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the RME approach on the motivation of mathematics learning of grade III students of SDN 3 Kertasura, Kapetakan District, Cirebon Regency.  The research design used in this study is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study uses the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. With a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the research data, obtained from the t= 3.530 test with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 which means that the Sig. value < 0.05, then Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. So, there is a significant influence on the application of the RME approach to the motivation of third grade students of SDN 3 Kertasura. Thus, there was an increase in the motivation to learn mathematics for third grade students of SDN 3 Kertasura in the experimental class.
