Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis eksposisi berita pada siswa kelas V UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya Kabupaten Takalar melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning diharapkan mampu mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi dan mampu menulis eksposisi berita agar kemampuan siswa meningkat. Melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning peningkatan dapat dilihat secara proses maupun hasil. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya Kabupaten Takalar. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri atas empat tahap kegiatan dalam tiap-tiap siklus yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran menulis eksposisi berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siklus I dalam kategori tuntas sebanyak 9 siswa atau 34,62% dan sebanyak 17 siswa atau 65,39% dalam kategori tidak tuntas. Sedangkan hasil pembelajaran pada siklus II dalam kategori tuntas sebanyak 23 siswa atau 88,47% dan sebanyak 3 siswa atau 11,53% dalam kategori tidak tuntas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menulis eksposisi berita pada siswa melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siswa Kelas V UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya Kabupaten Takalar.

This study aims to describe the improvement of the ability to write news expositions in grade V students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya, Takalar Regency through the Problem Based Learning Learning Model. The use of the Problem Based Learning learning model is expected to make it easier for students to understand the material and be able to write news expositions so that students' abilities increase. Through the problem based learning model, improvements can be seen in terms of process and results. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya, Takalar Regency. The implementation of this research was carried out in two cycles consisting of four stages of activities in each cycle, namely planning, implementing actions, observation and evaluation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 26 students. The results of this study indicate that the results of learning to write news expositions using the Problem Based Learning learning model in cycle I in the complete category were 9 students or 34.62% and 17 students or 65.39% in the incomplete category. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes in cycle II in the completed category were 23 students or 88.47% and 3 students or 11.53% in the incomplete category. Based on the results of this study, there was an increase in the ability to write news expositions in students through the Problem Based Learning learning model in Class V students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Tamanroya, Takalar Regency.
