PENGARUH POLA ASUH DEMOKRATIS TERHADAP KARAKTER DERMAWAN PADA ANAK USIA DINI DI TK AL-HIDAYAH

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh demokratis terhadap karakter dermawan pada anak usia dini di TK Islam Al-Hidayah. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya pendidikan karakter sejak usia dini, serta ditemukannya indikasi rendahnya sikap empati dan kepedulian anak di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket berisi 23 item yang disebarkan kepada 22 orang tua/wali murid. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh demokratis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap karakter dermawan anak, dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 dan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 1.720. Kontribusi pola asuh demokratis terhadap karakter dermawan anak sebesar 89,9%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti lingkungan sekolah, pengaruh teman, kebiasaan di rumah, serta karakter bawaan anak. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pola asuh demokratis, yang ditandai dengan komunikasi dua arah, pemberian kebebasan yang bertanggung jawab, serta keteladanan dalam bersikap dermawan, mampu membentuk karakter sosial anak secara positif. Oleh karena itu, pola asuh ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara konsisten oleh orang tua dan didukung oleh lingkungan sekitar anak.

This research aims to determine the effect of democratic parenting patterns on the charitable character of early childhood at Al-Hidayah Islamic Kindergarten. The background of this research is based on the importance of character education from a young age, as well as the discovery of indications of low empathy and concern among children at that school. The research employs a quantitative approach using survey methods. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing 23 items distributed to 22 parents/guardians of students. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS. The results indicate that democratic parenting has a significant effect on the charitable character of children, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a regression coefficient of 1.720. The contribution of democratic parenting styles to the character of generosity in children is 89.9%, while the rest is influenced by other factors such as the school environment, peer influence, habits at home, and the child's inherent character. The conclusion of this study is that democratic parenting, characterized by two-way communication, responsible freedom, and modeling generous behavior, can positively shape a child's social character. Therefore, this parenting style is recommended to be consistently applied by parents and supported by the surrounding environment of the child.
